Painting a front door threshold

Painting a previously finished threshold is possible using proper preparation methods.

Step 1) Wire-brush and sand to etch previous finish.

This step scratched the previous finish, allowing our primer and paint to penetrate and bond.

Step 2) Mask and apply two coats.

For this project, we used All Surface Metallic Satin Oil Rubbed Bronze Spray paint.  This fast-drying material can be re-coated within 30 minutes.
