How We Price an Exterior Paint Job

A three-story home on a sloped lot prices differently than the same floor plan on level ground, and a well-built older home with peeling paint takes more scraping labor than one in good condition. Why do prices vary so much between homes?

Size, number of stories, siding type, lot slope, and the condition of the existing paint all affect labor. An older home with heavy peeling needs far more scraping and prep than a well-maintained one, and a three-story home on a slope needs more staging than a level single-story.
