Eastside deck; Elegant Painting® offers your cedar deck a fighting chance against our damp puget sound weather.
With an annual rain fall of around 36 inches, our climate has a negative impact on all exterior surfaces. Most Northwest style homes are designed in such a way that the siding and trim boards are partially protected from direct exposure to rainfall. Your deck, however, receives little to no protection against the elements.
Sitting water, high humidity, leaves and needles, and other factors, create ideal conditions for mildew growth and surface deterioration.
Elegant Painting provides premium quality deck restoration and treatment services to woodinville, Bellevue, Redmond, and other nearby cities.
We start every project by applying a bio degradable resurfacing agent to loosen previous finishes….balance the PH of the substrate…..and replenish essential oils necessary to maintain proper moisture content. Once this material has had sufficient time to penetrate and activate, all surfaces are power washed, and all surrounding areas are rinsed to remove any cedar pores, dirt, or other debris.
We use fiber disk sanders, specifically designed to restore cedar deck boards, bench-tops, and hand rails. This process removes up to 1/16 of an inch from the surface, and restores most decks to 80 to 90 percent like-new condition.
Our stain of choice for the Northwest is the TWP total wood preservative. Available in a variety of natural colors, this semi-transparent treatment brings out the color and texture of your cedar boards, without hiding the grain.TWP stain shields against UV exposure, and offers excellent moisture protection.
We apply all of our materials based on manufacturer’s specific application instructions. We are meticulous painters who guarantee a positive experience. Give us a call, or use our automated online system to schedule your free estimate today.
